Hifz (حفظ) is an Arabic term that translates to “memorization” in English.

How long does it take to memorize the entire Holy Quran?

The duration required to memorize the entire Quran differs significantly based on individual factors, such as available daily time, dedication, prior knowledge, and learning speed.

• The more consistently one dedicates time to memorization, the faster progress they make. Regular practice is crucial.
• Prior knowledge of Arabic or familiarity with Quranic Arabic words besides the rules of recitation may progress more quickly.
• Younger learners often find it easier to memorize due to better memory retention. However, adults can also succeed with persistence.
• The amount of time spent daily matters. Some students memorize a few verses each day, while others may do more and have hours for Quran Learning.
